How to add a waiting list to a Lovable website
Collect emails before launch, embed the form in your Lovable landing page, and check that signups reach your dashboard.
You built a landing page in Lovable. The headline is ready, the screenshots look good, and people can visit it.
Now you need somewhere for interested visitors to leave their email.
A waiting list needs to store signups, give visitors a clear success message, and let you retrieve the list when you’re ready to launch. A form that looks finished can still be missing those parts.
Sitebase has a waiting list feature that handles the signup backend. Your Lovable site displays the form; signups go to Sitebase.
Sitebase is currently in private beta. The steps below are for accounts with access. You can join the waiting list to hear when it opens.
Decide what people are joining
Give the form one specific promise. For a product beta, that could be “Leave your email and we’ll let you know when the beta opens.”
Tell people what happens next. If you plan to invite a small batch first, say so. If leaving an email doesn’t guarantee an invitation, avoid suggesting that it does.
Put the form near the main explanation of your product. Visitors should understand the offer before you ask for their email.
Create the waiting list in Sitebase
Add your website in the Sitebase dashboard and select Waiting list when choosing its features. If the site already exists, open it and use + Add more to enable the waiting list.
Open the feature. In Config, set the heading, button text, and success message. Use the preview to check the wording before installing it.
A Sitebase website has one waiting list. You can display that same form in more than one place on your landing page; those signups go into the same list.
Give Lovable the embed
The Setup tab gives you both a script snippet and a hosted embed URL.
For a Lovable project, the hosted URL is a convenient option. Ask Lovable to display it in an iframe where your signup section belongs. The example below shows the shape; replace YOUR_WAITING_LIST_KEY with the key in your dashboard’s hosted URL.
<iframe
src="https://sitebase.dev/embed/YOUR_WAITING_LIST_KEY"
title="Join our waiting list"
style="width:100%;height:480px;border:0"
></iframe>
An iframe loads the form from Sitebase inside your page. Lovable can keep the surrounding headline, spacing, and layout. Adjust the height if your form needs more room, especially on mobile.
You can paste this instruction into Lovable, followed by the real hosted URL:
Replace the email signup section with an iframe loading the Sitebase
hosted URL below. Keep the surrounding heading and layout. Give the
iframe the title "Join our waiting list", full width, no border,
and enough height to show the form and its success message on mobile.
Use the URL exactly as supplied.
The regular script snippet is another option. It belongs where the form should appear. If Lovable builds that section as a React component, ask it to handle script loading and component remounts, then test navigation away from the page and back. Pasting a script into rendered HTML alone may not execute it.
Turn on spam protection
Before sharing the page, configure Cloudflare Turnstile for your site’s domain in Sitebase’s spam protection settings.
Hosted embeds run on Sitebase’s domain and use Sitebase’s own Turnstile keys. Your domain’s keys apply when the form is embedded directly with the script snippet. Enable spam protection in the site’s settings either way.
The default test keys help during setup. Replace them with real keys before sending public traffic. Sitebase also uses a honeypot and rate limiting, but those don’t replace testing your configuration.
Submit a signup on the published page
Publish your Lovable site, then open the public URL in a fresh browser window.
Submit an email address you control. Check that the success message appears and that the signup reaches the waiting list’s Data tab in Sitebase. Try an invalid email too, so you know visitors can recover from a mistake.
On a phone-sized screen, check that the form fits, the submit button is reachable, and the success message isn’t clipped by the iframe.
Once the first signup arrives, you’ll use Data to review the list and export it as CSV. Before launch, export a small sample and check that it contains the information you’ll need.
